Christmas Eve Adventure
For many years I accompanied my father on Christmas Eve going to a bunch of houses to play Santa. Sometimes he read "Twas the night before Christmas", sometimes he ate cookies and left presents as the children "secretly" watched from down the hall, and once he had to show up and tell some belief-challenged kids he would be back after they had all fallen asleep. Since there is only so much Christmas music radio two guys can take, it gave us hours to talk. This offered the opportunity for adult conversation between us that was rare back at home, with the many little listening ears. Its funny what memories mean the most to you when your looking back.
